How it works
A guide for walking the Word
Via Logos is a place to study Scripture with depth and clarity, then turn that study into something you can teach and share. This guide walks through each tool step by step, in the order you will come to use them. Take it slowly: the goal is not speed, but the way.
01
Scripture Mapping
The guided study, in five movements.
The heart of Via Logos. A faithful method that carries you from observing the text to a concrete response, walking a passage through five movements without ever losing the context.
Step by step
Choose your passage
Enter the reference you want to study and pick a translation. The strip at the top always shows your active passage, the step you are on, and your next action.
Unfold the Map
Begin by observing the text: who speaks, to whom, and the details we so often pass over. Generate the first movement and let the passage open before you.
Survey the Landscape
Move into the historical, cultural, and linguistic context. Here, when a passage appears inside the insights, it may be shown in the Via Logos Version, rendered from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek and always clearly labeled.
Find the Landmark
Reach the theological heart of the passage: the main idea, the truth that holds everything else together. Save anything worth keeping to your Notes with a single tap.
Follow the Path
Trace that truth across the rest of Scripture: how it is confirmed, deepened, and connected from one passage to another.
Reach Your Destination
Close with a faithful, concrete response for your life. Once the five movements are complete, your study is ready to teach, save, or share.
Tip: Tap the i beside any step to read a short description of what that movement is after before you generate it.
02
Rhema Trail
A reading plan made for what you carry today.
A personalized plan that listens to what you carry and offers real passages chosen to speak to it. Rhema is the spoken word that meets you personally; Logos, the eternal, written Word.
Step by step
Say what you are carrying
Write in your own words what weighs on you: anxiety, grief, a decision, a search for direction. You can start from one of the suggested examples if it helps you begin.
Choose a length
Pick the length of your trail, from 5 to 90 days, for as long as you want to walk. Via Logos will prepare real passages chosen for your need.
Walk one day at a time
Each day is a waypoint on the path: the passage, a short note on why it speaks to you, and a prompt to reflect. Move unhurried, one step a day.
Mark the day as read
When you finish the day's reading, mark it as read. You will see your progress on the trail's calendar and how many days you have walked.
Study any passage deeper
Does a passage stop you? Open it in Scripture Mapping to study it fully. Save the whole trail to return to it, or share it with a Circle.
Tip: If what you write reflects a crisis, Via Logos meets it with a note of care, never judgment.
03
Keyword study
A single word, examined closely.
A focused study of one word inside your passage, such as grace, life, or logos: its meaning, its original language, its usage, and its connections, with a visual word-map.
Step by step
Choose the word
From your study or passage, pick the word you want to examine. It works best to start from a term that already caught your eye as you read.
Generate the study
Via Logos opens the word: its meaning, the original language, how it is used across Scripture, and how it applies today. Move through it section by section at your pace.
Explore the word-map
Look at the visual map that connects the word to related passages and ideas, so you can see it within the whole of Scripture rather than in isolation.
Save and apply
Send what matters most to your Notes and keep the study in Saved. You can listen to it as audio or copy it with formatting whenever you need it.
04
Notes
Your study journal, always at hand.
The place where everything you discover gathers. Your notes save themselves, sync across your devices, and export so you can carry them wherever they are needed.
Step by step
Write as you study
Jot your observations in the Notes panel beside your study. Each tap of Save insight brings here whatever marked you most in a step or a word.
Trust the auto-save
You never have to press save: your notes are kept on their own and synced, so you pick up the same on your phone or your computer.
Dictate audio notes
When writing interrupts prayer or study, capture your thoughts by voice and leave them alongside the rest of your notes.
Export when you need to
Take your notes to Markdown, Word, or PDF to print them, share them, or keep them outside the app.
05
Teaching resources
From study to something you can give others.
Turn a finished study into a resource ready to teach: a Guide, an Outline, or a Devotional for your church, small group, or family.
Step by step
Start from a finished study
Open the study you want to teach. The resource is prepared from your Scripture Mapping, so it helps to have walked all five movements.
Choose the resource type
Decide what to prepare: a Guide to lead the gathering, an Outline to preach from, or a Devotional for daily reading.
Set who it is for
Name the audience, whether a congregation, a small group, or the family, so the tone and depth fit those who will receive it.
Create and review
Generate the resource from the study and review it. When it is ready, you can publish it in Shares as a page for your community.
06
Saved
Your personal study library.
The shelf where your studies and keyword studies live. Everything you keep returns to you just as you left it, ready to pick up again.
Step by step
Save your work
When you close a Scripture Mapping or a Keyword study, save it so it rests in your library with its passage and date.
Find what you are after
Browse your saved studies by title and reference to recognize at a glance what you have already worked through.
Pick up where you left off
Open any saved study and continue with your notes and movements intact, without starting over.
07
Circles
Walking the Word together.
Small groups where you share your Rhema Trails, reflect on specific verses, and encourage one another. A feature for subscribers.
Step by step
Create or join a Circle
Create one with a name and a short description, or join an existing one with its invite code or a shared link.
Invite the others
Share the Circle's code or invite link so your group gathers in one place.
Share a Rhema Trail
Bring one of your saved trails into the Circle. Any member can follow it and walk it at their own pace.
Reflect on a verse
Post a reflection, tying it to a specific passage if you wish, so the group can meditate on the same text.
Encourage one another
Respond with an Amen to others' reflections. Small gestures that sustain the group's walk.
08
Growth
A rhythm of faithfulness, not a race.
Your rhythm dashboard: your study streak, Grace days, your Weekly goal, your Badges, and gentle daily reminders. Made to sustain the habit, not to pressure you.
Step by step
See your streak
The lamp lights with your study streak and keeps your longest run. It is a reflection of your steadiness, not a grade to pass.
Lean on Grace days
If a day slips by, a Grace day keeps the streak from breaking. Faithfulness leaves room for real life.
Set your weekly goal
Choose how many days a week you want to study, from one to seven, and watch the bar fill at your own pace.
Gather your badges
As you study, finish trails, and write notes, badges unlock to mark the milestones along the way.
Turn on reminders
If you like, enable daily reminders for a gentle nudge at your hour, an invitation to return, never a demand.
Begin your first study
You do not need to know everything to begin. Choose a passage, unfold the map, and let the way open. Every study you make sustains the mission of Via Logos: its creator directs one hundred percent of what it receives toward planting the church Habitación de Dios.
