   Choose your passage

   Enter the reference you want to study and pick a translation. The strip at the top always shows your active passage, the step you are on, and your next action.

   Unfold the Map

   Begin by observing the text: who speaks, to whom, and the details we so often pass over. Generate the first movement and let the passage open before you.

   Survey the Landscape

   Move into the historical, cultural, and linguistic context. Here, when a passage appears inside the insights, it may be shown in the Via Logos Version, rendered from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek and always clearly labeled.

   Find the Landmark

   Reach the theological heart of the passage: the main idea, the truth that holds everything else together. Save anything worth keeping to your Notes with a single tap.

   Follow the Path

   Trace that truth across the rest of Scripture: how it is confirmed, deepened, and connected from one passage to another.

   Reach Your Destination

   Close with a faithful, concrete response for your life. Once the five movements are complete, your study is ready to teach, save, or share.

   Use the main navigation to choose a passage and translation. Moving between screens does not generate a study.

   Tap a verse number or select a phrase. Highlight, write a note, or request an explanation.

   Take it into a study

   Study shows the selected reference. Your previous work is kept in this device's library before the destination opens. Save to sync with your account.

   Under Devotion, open Sacred Hours and read the explanation before beginning. Choose the practice that fits your day.

   Write your response

   Follow the prompts at your pace. Check the save status before leaving.

   Return to your reflections

   Threads connects reflections; Timeline lets you revisit dates; Patterns gathers themes from available entries. AI accompaniment is optional.

   Say what you are carrying

   Write in your own words what weighs on you: anxiety, grief, a decision, a search for direction. You can start from one of the suggested examples if it helps you begin.

   Choose a length

   Pick the length of your trail, from 5 to 90 days, for as long as you want to walk. Via Logos will prepare real passages chosen for your need.

3. 3

   Walk one day at a time

   Each day is a waypoint on the path: the passage, a short note on why it speaks to you, and a prompt to reflect. Move unhurried, one step a day.

   Mark the day as read

   When you finish the day's reading, mark it as read. You will see your progress on the trail's calendar and how many days you have walked.

   Study any passage deeper

   Does a passage stop you? Open it in Scripture Mapping to study it fully. Save the whole trail to return to it, or share it with a Circle.

   Choose the word

   From your study or passage, pick the word you want to examine. It works best to start from a term that already caught your eye as you read.

2. 2

   Generate the study

   Via Logos opens the word: its meaning, the original language, how it is used across Scripture, and how it applies today. Move through it section by section at your pace.

3. 3

   Review the connections

   Read the result sections and check the related passages to understand the word within the whole of Scripture.

4. 4

   Save and apply

   Send what matters most to your Notes and keep the study in Library. You can listen to it as audio or copy it with formatting whenever you need it.

   Write as you study

   Jot your observations in the Notes panel beside your study. Each tap of Add to notes brings here whatever marked you most in a step or a word.

   Keep your notes

   You can press Save to keep your changes immediately. Check the save status before closing the study or continuing on another device.

   Listen to your notes

   Create an audio reading of text you have saved. Play, pause, and resume it from your audio notebook.

   Export when you need to

   Review the content to include and download Markdown or Word (.doc), or use browser printing to save a PDF.

   Open the study you want to teach. The resource is prepared from your Scripture Mapping, so it helps to have walked all five movements.

   Choose the resource type

   Decide what to prepare: a Guide to lead the gathering, an Outline to preach from, or a Devotional for daily reading.

3. 3

   Set who it is for

   Name the audience, whether a congregation, a small group, or the family, so the tone and depth fit those who will receive it.

4. 4

   Create and review

   Generate the resource from the study and review it. When it is ready, you can publish it in Shares as a page for your community.

   Select the resources to include, review their content, and choose whether the page will be public, unlisted, or password-protected.

   Copy the link and send it to your congregation, group, or family. Every visit is recorded so you know when and where it is read.

   Receive reactions

   Those who read you can respond with an Amen, a simple way to know the study walked with someone.

   Review the analytics

   See your page's views, and with Via Logos Plus, full analytics, with no Via Logos branding on what you publish.

   Explore the community

   In Explore, browse the studies others have published. A way to learn from how others have walked the Word.
