1. Scope
This policy explains what information Via Logos processes, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Via Logos site, accounts, and study features. It does not cover third-party sites or services that have their own policies.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, we process account data such as your name, email address, credentials managed by our authentication provider, and any profile image you choose to upload. We also process content you enter or generate in the app, including references, studies, drafts, notes, reading plans, journal entries, teaching material, files, preferences, and progress data.
We may also receive technical information such as your IP address, device or browser type, request logs, diagnostic identifiers, and general usage data needed for security, support, and operation. If you open a support ticket, we process the subject and message you send. The app may attach recent diagnostics, failed-request identifiers, and account status, but it does not attach your study notes or push-notification secrets.
If you choose a paid plan, we retain the account and subscription status needed to provide it. Our payment provider processes billing details; Via Logos does not store your full card number.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; save and synchronize your work; respond to requests you initiate; generate studies, resources, or audio; manage plans, credits, and billing; deliver notifications you enable; provide support; prevent abuse; protect the service; fix failures; meet legal obligations; and understand overall product performance when site measurement is enabled.
4. Providers and disclosure
We share information only when needed to operate features you use—for example, with providers of hosting, authentication, databases, storage, payments, email delivery, artificial intelligence, audio, notifications, and diagnostics. When you request a generative feature, the text or material needed to produce the response may be sent to the provider that processes that request.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business reorganization subject to appropriate protections. Via Logos does not sell your personal information or share it for third-party behavioral advertising.
5. Local storage, cookies, and measurement
Via Logos uses browser storage and similar technologies to maintain sessions, language, preferences, and drafts, and may use essential cookies from providers that operate the service. When site measurement is configured, we may collect general technical data to understand performance and use. You can clear local data in your browser settings, though doing so may sign you out or remove drafts that have not synchronized.
6. Public content
Only content you choose to publish through a sharing feature becomes public. Anyone with the link may be able to view it while it remains active, according to the visibility you select. Do not include sensitive information in public material. You can disable your links in the app when that option is available for your account.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, or billing obligations. The duration depends on the type of data and feature. Some drafts remain only in your browser; certain technical records are deleted or aggregated under our diagnostic processes.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational controls, including authentication and limited access on private routes. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your choices and rights
You can update certain profile details and manage your password, subscription, notifications, and shared links in the app. You may also request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of information associated with your account by emailing support@vialogos.app or using in-app support. We may need to verify your identity and retain information when law permits or requires it. Available rights depend on where you live.
10. Children’s privacy
Via Logos is not directed to minors who cannot legally consent to the processing of their data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor provided information without authorization, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.
11. International processing
Providers that operate Via Logos may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use the protections offered by those providers and measures required by applicable law.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service, its providers, or applicable obligations change. We will publish the current version at this route and update the effective date. For privacy questions or requests, email support@vialogos.app.
